Strawberry season
Celebrate Strawberry Month in May with a variety of strawberry themed activities. Like a strawberry themed feature menu at Ox & Ocean, resort activities like make your own strawberry sugar body scrub, Let’s Get Growing - where you can learn to plant your own strawberries, and more!
For the true strawberry afficionados, the California Strawberry Festival is a must! On May 18th and 19th, 2024, strawberry lovers across the country flock to the Ventura Fairgrounds to celebrate their favorite fruit, located just 15 minutes away from Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach.
Whale Watching season
From mid-to-late-December through mid-March, whale watching is a favorite pastime of ours at Zachari Dunes. Our ocean views look directly over the Santa Barbara Channel, where 27 species of whales have been spotted. If you’d like a more up close and personal experience, our friends at Channel Islands Expeditions have whale watching excursions. Book your excursion grabs some binoculars from Henry’s so you don’t miss any of the action!
